Yankees' Luis Severino: Throws bullpen session

Severino (lat) threw a bullpen session Thursday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Manager Aaron Boone said Severino's session went well. The next step for the 29-year-old righty will likely come Monday with a bullpen session and live batting practice. He will likely require a rehab start before returning to the Yankees' rotation, though it's unclear when he might embark on that assignment.
