Astros' Ramon Urias: Out of Friday's starting lineup
Urias is not in the Astros' starting lineup against the Rangers on Friday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Urias has started in each of Houston's last four games, but he went 0-for-10 with one RBI and six strikeouts during the Astros' three-game home series against the Yankees. He'll be on the bench for the start of Friday's contest while Jose Altuve starts at the keystone and Yordan Alvarez serves as the designated hitter.

Astros' Mauricio Dubon: Not in Friday's starting lineup
Dubon is not in Houston's starting lineup against Texas on Friday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Dubon will be on the bench for the beginning of Friday's contest while Jesus Sanchez, Taylor Trammell and Cam Smith start in the outfield from left to right. Dubon has a .503 OPS with eight runs, three doubles, one homer and five RBI in 93 plate appearances since the beginning of August.

Jazz Chisholm CF | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Good to go Friday
Chisholm (knees) is in the starting lineup and batting sixth for Friday's game against the Blue Jays.
Chisholm was removed from Thursday's game versus Houston in the fourth inning due to bruised knees. Testing after the game came back clean, and Chisholm apparently feels good enough to play in Friday's American League East showdown with Toronto. Chisholm has a .938 OPS over the last 30 days.

Lenyn Sosa 2B | CHW
White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: Getting breather Friday
Sosa is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Tigers.
It looks to be a routine day off for Sosa, who had started each of the previous 11 tilts. Curtis Mead will cover first base in Sosa's stead.

Travis Bazzana 2B | CLE
Guardians' Travis Bazzana: Wallops first Triple-A homer
Bazzana went 3-for-4 with a walk, a home run, two RBI and an additional run scored for Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.
Twenty games into his stay at the highest level of the minors, Bazzana launched his first home run for the Clippers in style, as his two-run shot was a walk-off job. The first overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft has endured some struggles in his first go-around at Triple-A and entered the night batting just .182 over 19 games for Columbus. However, Bazzana has exhibited a keen eye, posting a .415 on-base percentage.

Luke Keaschall 2B | MIN
Twins' Luke Keaschall: Smacks four hits in loss
Keaschall went 4-for-5 with an RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Thursday's 11-8 loss to the White Sox.
Keaschall had gone five games without a multi-hit effort prior to Thursday, but he busted that slump with the first four-hit performance of his young career. He's had no trouble against major-league pitching over his first 33 games, slashing .328/.418/.508 with four home runs, 21 RBI, 18 runs scored, nine stolen bases and 10 doubles across 141 plate appearances. Keaschall should continue to see a near-everyday role at second base in the final few weeks of the campaign.

Kody Clemens 1B | MIN
Twins' Kody Clemens: Reaches 15-homer mark
Clemens went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 11-8 loss to the White Sox.
Clemens has seen his playing time slip early in September. He's gone just 6-for-31 (.194) at the plate over his last 11 games, with his ninth-inning homer Thursday being his first extra-base hit in that span. For the season, he's at a .210/.280/.427 slash line with 15 homers, 41 RBI, 39 runs scored and two stolen bases across 101 games between the Twins and the Phillies. Clemens and fellow left-handed hitter Edouard Julien have been competing for most of the playing time at first base lately.

Jazz Chisholm CF | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Optimism about injury
Medical testing on Chisholm's knees came back clean after leaving Thursday's game versus the Astros, and he hopes to be in the lineup Friday against the Blue Jays, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.
Chisholm injured both of his knees while in the field Thursday and exited the game in the fourth inning having gone 0-for-2 with a strikeout. It's unclear exactly what testing was done, and the team has not released any additional details since Chisholm was originally diagnosed with contusions.
