Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Blasts 25th home run Sunday

Suzuki went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-1 win over the Reds.

Suzuki was 0-for-4 with a strikeout until his final at-bat of the game in the eighth inning, when he crushed his 25th home run of the season. It was the talented outfielder's first long ball this month, and his overall total is the second highest of his MLB career, trailing only the 32 homers he hit in 151 regular-season games last year. Suzuki missed a little time to begin 2026 due to a right knee sprain suffered in the World Baseball Classic, but it's been another strong offensive campaign for the 32-year-old slugger.

Dodgers' Kyle Tucker: Not in Sunday's lineup

Tucker (knee/shin) is not in Sunday's lineup against the Giants, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports.

Carroll batted fifth and went 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Yankees.

Carroll tied the game at 3-3 in the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. One game after he was slotted in as the seventh batter, manager Torey Lovullo moved the outfielder back up to fifth in the order. A recent slump prompted the manager to drop Carroll from the upper third of the order to fifth and then a one-day sentence to seventh. He's batting .192 with a .637 OPS during September.
