Hawks' Walter Tavares: Gaining role in rotation

Tavares played 15 minutes in Sunday's 111-97 loss to the Knicks, finishing with four points (2-4 FG, 0-2 FT), four rebounds, and three blocks.

The long-limbed Tavares showcased some good shot-blocking ability in his limited minutes, and that skill may allow him to hold down a rotation spot throughout the duration of Tiago Splitter's absence due to a calf injury. However, once Splitter is back in action, Tavares' minutes may evaporate completely.
