Selden was placed in the league's health and safety protocols Tuesday.
Selden won't play in Tuesday's contest against the Timberwolves and will likely be away from the team for an extended period. However, his absence isn't expected to impact coach Tom Thibodeau's rotations. The veteran guard has only appeared in three contests this year, and before signing with the Knicks at the beginning of the 2021-22 campaign, he hadn't played in the NBA since the 2018-19 season.
