Nets' Edmond Sumner: Traded, set to be waived

Sumner (Achilles), along with a 2025 second-round pick, was traded from the Pacers to the Nets on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Brooklyn is expected to waive Sumner.

Sumner underwent surgery to repair a torn Achilles in mid-September and is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2021-22 season. He'll now go through his rehab program while not on an NBA roster.
