Simpson was waived by the Pistons on Saturday, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
Simpson inked an Exhibit 10 deal with Detroit in July, but he was unable to secure an NBA roster spot. Instead, he'll report to the Pistons' G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise, once he passes through waivers.
