Mitchell (rib/finger) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest versus the Vikings, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Mitchell opened Week 12 prep with back-to-back limited listings on 49ers injury reports as he contended with both his recovery from surgery on his finger and a rib issue. The former is the one clouding his status, but coach Kyle Shanahan told Matt Barrows of The Athletic on Friday that Mitchell will play Sunday if he's "comfortable" with how the 49ers are protecting his finger. Assuming he's available this weekend, Mitchell likely will retake lead duties out of the backfield, while Jeff Wilson and Trey Sermon would be the main candidates for complementary work with JaMycal Hasty (ankle) still sidelined.
