49ers' Yetur Gross-Matos: Practice window opens

San Francisco has designated Gross-Matos (knee) to return to practice from IR on Thursday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The 49ers will evaluate Gross-Matos at practice Thursday and Friday before making a decision on whether to activate him to the 53-man roster in time for Sunday's contest against the Titans. Gross-Matos hasn't played since Week 5 due to a lingering knee strain.
