Bears head coach Matt Nagy said Wednesday that Williams (illness) remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
Williams tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Chicago's loss to the Packers in Week 6 and was forced to miss the contest as a result. He will need to fully clear the league's health and safety protocols before returning to team facilities, so Williams isn't a lock to be back in action for Sunday's road game against the Buccaneers. If Williams were to miss another game, Khalil Herbert would inherit the lead role out of the backfield once more.
