Bills' Robert Blanton: Placed on IR

Blanton (foot) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Bills' sideline reporter Sal Capaccio reports.

After a demotion in snaps, Blanton injured his foot late in Sunday's win over the Bengals. Specifics of the injury did not come to light during the week, but he was ultimately ruled out for Week 12 in Friday's injury report. James Ihedigbo, Sergio Brown, and Jonathan Meeks are all in the mix for replacing Blanton at strong safety.
