Daviyon Nixon: Returns to Panthers' practice squad

Nixon was signed to the Panthers' practice squad Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Nixon was waived by the team Monday, after he recorded three tackles across 68 snaps throughout Carolina's three preseason games. He'll now serve as an emergency option for the Panthers' defensive line should the team undergo injuries on the front.
