Daviyon Nixon: Waived by Carolina

The Panthers waived Nixon on Monday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Nixon, a 2021 fifth-round pick, appeared in seven games for the Panthers as a rookie, totaling nine tackles and a half-sack across 77 defensive snaps. He initially made the team's 53-man roster but has been let go in favor of veteran defensive end Henry Anderson.
