Giants' Jalen Mayfield: Placed on IR

Mayfield (ankle) reverted to injured reserve with the Giants on Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Mayfield was waived with an injury designation by New York, reverting to IR after going unclaimed. The offensive lineman suffered an ankle injury in Saturday's preseason finale against the Jets and he'll now be forced to sit out the entire 2024 season.
