Jake Fromm: Let go on cut-down day

Detroit waived Fromm on Tuesday.

Fromm was a fifth-round draft pick by Buffalo in 2020 and got into three regular-season games with the Giants in 2021. He hasn't logged an NFL snap since then, however, and spent most of the previous two campaigns on Washington's practice squad. Fromm never had much of a chance of landing on Detroit's 53-man roster and played sparingly in the preseason, though he did well by completing six of eight pass attempts for 89 yards.
