Jalen Mayfield: Gets workout with Cleveland

The Browns hosted Mayfield (ankle) for a workout Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Mayfield signed with the Giants in January after spending the first two years of his NFL career with the Falcons. He was placed on the Giants' IR after sustaining an ankle injury during New York's preseason finale, and he was let go one day later with an injury settlement. Mayfield appears to have recovered from his ankle injury, and he'll look to add depth to a Browns' offensive line dealing with injuries to starting guards Jack Conklin (knee) and Jedrick Wills (knee).
