Joe Webb: Hits waivers

The Giants waived Webb on Saturday, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.

Webb was initially signed to add depth at quarterback following Daniel Jones' hamstring injury. However, he suited up in just two games for the Giants, playing exclusively on special teams and recording one solo tackle. If Webb clears waivers and the Giants make the playoffs, he'll be a practice squad candidate.
