Joe Webb: Joins Giants' practice squad

Webb signed a contract with the Giants' practice squad Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN.com reports.

The veteran quarterback logged a stint with the Lions' practice squad earlier this season, as a wide receiver. Webb has not seen game-action since 2018 and will likely serve as emergency depth under center until Daniel Jones (hamstring) returns to full strength.
