John Hurst: Cut from Buccaneers' practice squad

Hurst was released from the Buccaneers' practice squad Tuesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

The wide receiver signed with the team Nov. 23 but he failed to be elevated from the practice squad for any games prior to his release Tuesday. With Antonio Brown (suspension) nearing a return, Hurst was seemingly the odd man out as the Buccaneers gear up for the playoff push.
