Hurst (ankle) was waived from IR with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Hurst signed a one-year contract with the Colts on July 26 then suffered the ankle injury in practice last Tuesday. The 25-year-old spent the majority of last season on the Buccaneers' practice squad and has yet to make his NFL regular season debut. Once healthy, Hurst will work for an opportunity elsewhere.
