Josh Babicz: Cut by Carolina

The Panthers waived Babicz on Tuesday.

Babicz suffered an undisclosed injury Aug. 10 but returned for the team's preseason finale, catching his only target for three yards. However, the 6-foot-6 tight end still finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. Babicz was signed by the Panthers in May as an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State, where he finished his final collegiate campaign with 12 catches for 254 yards and four scores.
