Josh Hammond: Waived by New England

The Patriots waived Hammond on Tuesday, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.

Hammond signed with the Jaguars in 2020 as an undrafted free agent and subsequently spent the majority of the next two seasons on their practice squad before signing with the Patriots this offseason. He caught four of 12 targets for 33 yards across three preseason games and now finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline.
