Kendall Sheffield: Gets released with injury waiver

Miami released Sheffield (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Sheffield couldn't earn a spot on the Dolphins' final 53-man roster after joining the team back in May, and now he's getting cut. The injury settlement he negotiated with the team means he'll be eligible to suit up as soon as he's fully healthy again.
