Need help making those tough lineup decisions? Lineup Rankings provide you with our best possible starters, based on overall Fantasy value and each player's upcoming matchup. These rankings are based on a performance scoring system that gives players bonuses for yards and six points for touchdowns. Players listed on the injury report are noted, and their availability for the upcoming game has been factored into their rank position. Players are excluded that have an upcoming bye week.
Beside each player's name, you will see their upcoming opponent as well a number in parentheses. That number means something different for each position. For quarterbacks, it is the total defensive ranking in the NFL of their opponent, based on total yards allowed. For running backs, that number is the rushing defense ranking of their opponent, based on rushing yards allowed per game. For example, by Fred Taylor's name it reads: at GB (11). That means he is playing at the Green Bay Packers this weekend and they are the 11th ranked rushing defense in the NFL. Finally, for receivers and tight ends, that number is their opponent's rank based on receiving yards allowed per game.
