Newton, making his first start of the season, opened the scoring with a 10-yard pass to DJ Moore in the first quarter. The signal-caller then took off for a 24-yard touchdown run during the second, scoring through the air and on the ground in back-to-back outings. With a 27-yard touchdown to tailback Christian McCaffrey to tie the game later on, Newton turned in an impressive overall performance just 10 days after rejoining the Panthers. Although his efforts weren't enough for a victory, Newton's signature dual-threat ability has his stock trending up ahead of Week 12's matchup versus the Dolphins.
