Parry Nickerson: Released by Vikings

The Vikings released Nickerson on Tuesday, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.

Nickerson sustained a lower leg injury in mid-August but tallied two solo tackles while playing 29 percent of the Vikings' defensive snaps during Saturday's preseason finale against the Broncos. While he seems to have moved past his prior injury, he'll be forced to seek out other opportunities ahead of the regular season.
