Redskins' Josh Doctson: Should be okay Week 1

According to head coach Jay Gruden, Doctson (hamstring) should be ready for Week 1's matchup with the Eagles, John Keim of ESPN.com reports. "It wasn't like he pulled it; it was tight, I guess. It hasn't been a major pull, so I think he's going to be OK," Gruden said. "I think he's going to be ready for Philadelphia and now it's a matter of keeping him out there, and knock on wood, I hope we can do that."
Doctson has missed over a week of camp and last Sunday's preseason win over the Bengals because of lingering hamstring issues. It seems unlikely the team would play Doctson for an extended amount of reps in Thursday's preseason finale and will instead turn their attention to his availability for Week 1. If he can make a healthy return, Doctson could carve out a major offensive role in Washington's revamped receiving corps.
