Cannon (back) recently underwent surgery recently to address a herniated disc and will be sidelined for approximately 12 weeks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Cannon was placed on injured reserve with the back issue prior to the Texans' Week 5 matchup. Given his timeline after surgery, he's unlikely to return this season. Charlie Heck should serve as the starting left tackle in Cannon's absence.
