Titans' Mehdi Abdesmad: Promoted to active roster

Abdesmad was promoted to the Titans' active roster Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

With defensive ends Jurrell Casey (foot) and Karl Klug (Achilles) both dealing with injuries, the Titans decided to promote Abdesmad in the hopes of bolstering their defensive line. The rookie spent the preseason with the Titans before being cut prior to the beginning of the regular season and then was eventually brought back onto the practice squad.
