Newhook scored a power-play goal along with four shots on net, one hit and one blocked shot in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canadiens.
Newhook rocketed a feed from Samuel Girard past Cayden Primeau midway through the first period to give Colorado a 1-0 lead. The tally was a carbon copy of Newhook's previous goal, when the 20-year-old one-timed a laser in last Monday's win over the Wild. It was the ninth goal of the season for Newhook, who has 14 points, 46 shots, 16 hits, 10 blocked shots and is plus-5 through 30 contests.
