Avalanche's Cale Makar: Will be ready Opening Night

Avalanche assistant coach Nolan Pratt said Makar (undisclosed) will be ready for Wednesday's season-opener against the Blackhawks, Adrian Dater of Colorado Hockey Now reports.

Makar did not play one preseason minute due to an undisclosed injury. He wore a non-contact jersey for much of training camp, but ditched that sweater within the last week and is likely to man the blue line for Colorado on Wednesday against Chicago.
