Canadiens' Cole Caufield: Demoted to minors

Caufield was sent down to AHL Laval on Monday.

Caufield has yet to find the back of the net this season and has just one assist to show for it. The 20-year-old winger was held without a shot for the first time this year, as well, in Sunday's clash with Anaheim, so his demotion shouldn't come as a surprise. The Habs will hope the Wisconsin native can rediscover his scoring touch during his time with the Rocket and should bring him back up to the NHL sooner rather than later.
