Canucks' Ethan Bear: Out six months

Bear is expected to miss six months after undergoing shoulder surgery Thursday.

Bear suffered the injury during the 2023 IIHF World Hockey Championship. His timetable suggests Vancouver will be without his services for a significant chunk of the 2023-24 campaign. Bear had three goals, 16 points, 39 hits and 82 blocks in 61 contests last season while averaging 18:32 of ice time.
