Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Still without contract

Hughes will not be in attendance for the start of training camp while he continues to work on a new contract with Vancouver, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.

Both Hughes and Elias Pettersson (wrist) remain without new deals following the expiration of their entry-level contracts. There is plenty of time for the two sides to come to an agreement, but fantasy players should probably expect Hughes to miss at least the first two preseason contests, if not more. Even without a full training camp to prepare for the upcoming 2021-22 campaign, Hughes should still be considered an elite fantasy target and should challenge to get back over the 50-point mark.
