Podkolzin scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Flyers.
Despite seeing just 7:03 of ice time, Podkolzin was able to get the Canucks on the board in the second period. The Russian winger was selected 10th overall in the 2019 draft, but it's unclear if he'll get anything more than a nine-game audition this season. If he stays with the big club, the heavy-hitting, pesky Podkolzin could eventually work his way into a top-six role, although he'll have to fend off challenges from Nils Hoglander and Alex Chiasson for the second-line gig alongside Elias Pettersson.
