Ovechkin scored a power-play goal on 10 shots, added an assist, doled out two hits and served two PIM in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Blackhawks.

Ovechkin's tally at 3:36 of the second period was the 274th power-play goal of his career, tying Dave Andreychuk for the most in NHL history. In the third period, Ovechkin set up Conor Sheary for the game-tying goal with three seconds left in regulation. The two-point effort vaulted Ovechkin to the top of the league's scoring leaderboard with 46 points (21 goals, 25 helpers) in 29 contests. He's added 131 shots on net, 42 hits and a plus-19 rating in one of the hottest starts to a season in his career.
