Vaakanainen (upper body) was recalled from his conditioning stint and removed from injured reserve Sunday.
Vaakanainen has been on injured reserve since the start of the year and he'll also miss Sunday's tilt with Seattle. The 23-year-old could make his season debut in the near future.
