Cooley will patrol the home crease in Sunday's preseason contest against Seattle, according to Pat Steinberg of QR Calgary 770 AM.
Arsenii Sergeev will serve as Cooley's backup in Sunday's exhibition opener. Cooley posted a 10-10-6 record with a 2.69 GAA and a .909 save percentage in 31 regular-season appearances with Calgary in 2025-26. He will likely be Dustin Wolf's backup going into the 2026-27 campaign.
