Prince (lower body) was forced out of Tuesday's game against the Oilers and head coach Doug Weight said the injury "doesn't look too good," Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
Prince is expected to head back to New York for further evaluation, so it's unlikely he will play in Vancouver on Thursday even if he gets good news. Stephen Gionta, a healthy scratch Tuesday, is likely to draw into the lineup in Prince's absence, or perhaps the team dips down to the AHL to summon someone like Bracken Kearns.
