Islanders' Shane Prince: Signs two-year deal with the Islanders

Prince signed a two-year $1.7 million contract with the Islanders on Friday, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

Prince was barely heard of until he was called up to play in the playoffs. He showed enough during this time to warrant a spot with the team next season. He will likely fight for a spot on the third line.
