Kraken's Mason Appleton: Helps out on empty-netter

Appleton earned an assist in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Predators.

Appleton recorded the secondary helper on Brandon Tanev's empty-net goal. After breaking out with 25 points in 56 games for the Jets last season, it appears Appleton will play in a firmly bottom-six role with the Kraken. He's averaged 10:42 of ice time per game through two contests compared to 14:26 per game last season, so he's not much of a viable option in fantasy currently.
