Maple Leafs' Ilya Mikheyev: Scores power-play marker

Mikheyev scored a power-play goal on six shots and added two hits in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Oilers.

Entering 2022, Mikheyev hadn't scored a power-play goal -- now he's got one in each of the last two contests. The winger's goal at 11:25 of the third period stood as the game-winner for the Maple Leafs. He's up to three tallies, 13 shots on net and a plus-3 rating through three games this season. He's mainly played in a third-line role, but his strong offense in a small sample size could earn him a place in the top six eventually.
