Clifford was waived by Toronto on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Clifford recently signed a two-year extension but he has just three points through 15 total games with Toronto and St. Louis this season. The veteran winger could be an intriguing, cheap name for a contending team before Monday's trade deadline.
