Oilers' Mike Smith: Not close to return

Head coach Dave Tippett said Thursday that Smith (undisclosed) isn't expected to return soon, Jason Gregor of OilersNation.com reports.

Tippett went on to say that Mikko Koskinen will handle a large workload going forward as a result. There's no clear timeline for Smith to return; he'll remain on long-term injured reserve until he's ready to make his season debut.
