Mayhew was called up from AHL Charlotte on Thursday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.
Mayhew will be a scratch for the Panthers' regular-season finale versus Carolina. He's recorded 42 points over 68 AHL games, ranking fourth on Charlotte's scoring list. With Patric Hornqvist (concussion) and Sam Bennett (groin) out, Mayhew appears to be a depth addition for the Panthers' playoff run.
