Shesterkin made 33 saves in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Flyers.
The Rangers raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first 20:34 of game action, but a five-minute major penalty on Dryden Hunt gave the Flyers a chance to get back in it. Shesterkin made sure they did no such thing, keeping Philadelphia off the board for the whole lengthy power play, which included an extended sequence during which the goalie was playing with defenseman Jacob Trouba's stick after losing his own. Morgan Frost scored Philadelphia's lone goal later in the middle frame by pouncing on a rebound in the crease just before Shesterkin could cover it up, but the Russian netminder will nonetheless be pleased with this performance. Shesterkin has allowed no more than two goals in any of his last six appearances.
