Red Wings' Ryan Murphy: Lands on waivers

Murphy was waived by the Red Wings on Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Murphy returned from a two-year stint in the KHL and racked up 27 points in 37 games with AHL Henderson during the 2020-21 campaign. He hasn't appeared in an NHL contest since the 2018-19 season and should spend most of this year in the minors as well.
