Sabres' Alex Tuch: Not playing Thursday

Tuch (illness) won't play versus the Canucks on Thursday, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.

Tuch's absence will open the door for Trevor Kuntar to make his NHL debut. The 29-year-old Tuch should be considered day-to-day for now, and it's unclear if he'll be ready for Sunday's game in Seattle.
