Cecconi signed a one-year, two-way contract with Buffalo on Friday.
The defenseman was dealt from the Dallas organization to Buffalo on Dec. 15 and spent the remainder of the season with AHL Rochester. Cecconi had three goals and 10 points in 53 AHL games in 2022-23. The 26-year-old has yet to play in the NHL.
