  • Canucks' Pierre-Olivier Joseph: Misses practice Thursday

Joseph (flu) missed practice Thursday, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports.

Joseph should be considered questionable ahead of Friday's tilt in Utah. The 26-year-old blueliner has one assist in 11 games this season. The Canucks recalled defenseman Elias Pettersson from AHL Abbotsford on Thursday in case Joseph is unable to play.

  • Senators' Thomas Chabot: Likely out until mid-December

Head coach Travis Green said Thursday that Chabot (upper body) is expected to miss approximately 10 more days, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Chabot has appeared in just one of the Senators' last nine games, and he was placed on injured reserve Saturday. While he's already eligible to return, he'll require more time on the shelf before he's in the mix to return to game action. Dennis Gilbert is slated to make his season debut Thursday against the Rangers as the Senators continue to adjust their defensive pairings in Chabot's absence.

Soderstrom, who was selected 11th overall in 2019 by Arizona, had one goal and nine points in 18 AHL appearances before his recall.
